Our collection includes over 300 films from The Library of Congress Paper Prints. These are the only extant copies of many short items (from 30 seconds upwards) recorded between 1895 – 1915. They include footage of the immigration to USA; industrialisation; railroads; recreation; amusement parks; Spanish American War; Alaskan gold rush; San Francisco before and after the 1906 earthquake; vaudeville and stage acts; world fairs and expositions; daily life, including street scenes from european cities, entertainment, inventions, stunts and human interest.
